Sewing Basket Box

This cute little sewing basket box is from My Time Made Easy.  Comes in SVG so taken into the Silhouette Cameo software and made into a cut file.  VERY EASY to put together, easy instructions.  It is called Grandmas Sewing Kit, also got the digital set so could have the designs for the top of the box, that was a little harder to understand about adding color as I don't use the color programs on my computer much but I did eventually figure it out.  The thread holder on the front of the box is from Tim Holtz sewing die-also cuts the mannequin and the buttons that you saw on the last post, Retirement Card.  Used button brads for the handles and the flower centers, have used a lot of these lately, will need to go looking for more pretty soon.
The little boxes on the front open and have lots of room inside for gifts or candys.
Thank you for looking, hope you are enjoying crafting.

Retirement Card

I made this retirement card for one of our nurses-I know it does not look like a nurse retirement card--but she also SEWS!!  So this was the perfect card for her.  The mannequin is from a Tim Holtz die and then cut each layer, scored in the middle and attached with glue, used pop dots between the layers to make them stay even on the base, then covered with lace, string beads and a flower.  Paper is from Graphic 45 Ladies Diary, should have bought more of these paper packs when they was available because I love it and can think of a million cards and projects to do with it now!!  The doily in the back is from Cheery Lynn Designs, they are my favorite die for doilies, takes some work but well worth it.  The flowers are made from different dies, the white flower is made using the new Martha Stewart fringing scissors.  Cut down a strip of paper and used my quilling tool (yes I have started quilling, hope to get good enough soon to show you some of my creations) to roll into a flower, so much fun.  The Happy Retirement tag is from Creative Times and so is the stamp.
This is the inside of the card--have lots of folks at work that needed to sign so made 2 pages where they could sign on the white and then there were 18 tags in the front and back page pockets for more personal notes to her.  The doily is from Cherry Lynn Designs, the mannequin is the same as on the front but just one of them that is pop dotted onto the page.  The buttons on the doily are from the same die from Tim Holtz that the mannequin is on, cuts great on the Cuttlebug.  The banner on the back page is from Creative Times, says 'T4', that is what we called our nurse as she was the 4th Teresa in the office when she was hired!!  Cute huh?  And the name stuck with her the whole time she was there, she eventually started introducing herself as T4.  The tags are made from Creative Time tag dies.  This card was a lot of fun to make, with 5 pages decorated it was like creating 5 cards, took me all of one day, but what a fun day it was!!  Have fun crafting and thank you for looking.
Had to add this close up of the flowers on the front.  Used button brads for some of the centers for the flowers.  Also Cherry Lynn Design dies for the heart on the back page and the butterflies.  Thanks again, Candy

Graphic 45 French Country Card

Just discovered Graphic 45 paper and accessories!!  I am a new fan!!  This paper is extraordinary, good quality and the tags, stickers and flowers are a must if you get the pads of paper, they coordinate so well together.  This is called French Country.  The metal tag, 'dream as if you will live forever' is from Tim Holtz though I now see that Graphic 45 also carries some metal parts, will check them out next time I order.  The key is from Recollections set of keys, used glossy accents to adhere to corkstock.  First time I have used corkstock on a card, it was supposed to be self adhesive but wasn't!  The main part of the card is one I saw on the web, added different embellishments to make it my own.  The 'Bonjour' tag is a die from Creative Times, Stitched Fun Ticket Die, used paper from Graphic 45 to make the die.  The red doily is made from other cardstock using Cheery Lynn Die, 'English Tea Party' I adore her dies, they are a little work to get all the little parts cut but are well worth the look!!  Used pop dots on almost everything but the doily and key.
Thanks for looking.   Candice

Lots of layers, pop dots and lots of fun!!

New Cards With Flowers

Love this card, it is 6 inches square finished.  Used dies throughout the card, Cheery Lynn Designs and Sizzix dies.  Saw a similar card on another blogspot, used different dies and a different girl but was the same idea.  Love to color with Copic markers, have had them for some time now but just really started using them.  Finally got away from the red and white cards!!  Thank you for looking.
This card is much cuter in person, loved making this card, I am finally getting the flower making down and coloring with Copic markers.  Love the dies, make cardmaking a little faster and much more feminine.  Thanks for looking.

CowGirl Card with Flowers

Love this little Cow Girl with the hat!!  My daughter is into wearing a cowboy hat since having her new guy.  Thinking that it would be appropriate for her for a spring card, if I can stand to part with it.  But we have to give some of them away don't we, or then we end up with more cards than we know what to do with.  I am really getting into the doily dies, Silhouette has some, this one is from Cheery Lynn Designs, the corners and butterflies are also from her.  Working on 2 others, have them cut but need to put them together.  Sick today so will probably not happen until tomorrow or later.
New flowers, love to make these, it was fun to arrange them.  I never have been good with arranging real flowers so hope the cards are better.  Thanks for looking and have a good day.

Musical cards

Some muscial cards that I made some time ago.  I used cuts from Cricut, sorry don't remember what cartridge this is from.  The musical note background paper just makes this card, picked it up from JoAnn Fabric and Craft store during one of their paper sales.  Edge of red paper is a Martha Stewart punch.  I think the musical paper on the red is a Tim Holtz stamp.

Isn't this adorable.  Gave it to my granddaughter, Kira, to thank her for playing music at our Christmas Party.

These would make great cards for any occasion for those of you that know musicians.  Have fun with them.
Thanks for looking, hope you have a good day.  Candy
Newest card with more flowers.  I have really gotten into making flowers lately.  Didn't ever know how easy they were to make because they looked difficult.  Have to make a few to get used to the process but they are not as difficult as they look.  Paper is really strong, you would think that it would break apart when you are bending and turning and moving it around on a brad, but it holds its own.  Lots of layering on these new cards I am learning to make, getting good ideas from other blogs.  Thank you for your ideas. Love Cheery Lynn dies for the doilies, they make wonderful backdrops for the rest of the card.
Flower dies from different artists and some from Silhouette store.  Try to experiment with different colors on the card, used one pink patterned rose that I have had since I started making roses--what was that 2 weeks ago?-- also a peach colored one, and they look really good with the pink and white.  So feel free to experiment, try different colors, you never know what will go well together on the finished project.
Cut designs in Silhouette Studio, I have found that with these intricate cuts it helps to have a newer blade and good sticky mat--just not too sticky as then the little cuts sometimes tear--just use a lot of patience when taking the designs off the mat.  I just changed my blade on the Silhouette yesterday after using that same blade for a year and having cut thousands of designs on the Silhouette Cameo.  This is my preferred machine for many reasons!!!!
I love these pearls!!  They just add that right feminine touch.  Thanks for looking, have a great day.

Cute little 4.75" Valentine card for my great nephew, Tommy.  The picture below shows both of the cards I am sending the, one for my niece.  I don't normally send them cards for Valentine's Day but Nikki is helping mom and dad out so much, wanted to send her a special card.  Thanks for visiting my blog.  Got to spend the whole weekend at home, car still in the shop until tomorrow and husbands diesel is TOO big to drive and park in town for me.  Crafted all weekend, finished all wash, changed the sheets, loved being at home.  Have a good week.

I am just crazy about red and white for some reason this month.  While I was on a roll making Valentine cards with the Martha Stewart punch around the page punches I decided to make this cute little card and use the last of the red roses left over from the Valentine cards.  Isn't it adorable?   Designed the girls so they look like redwork.  The little 'Always forever' that you see the the left of the card is actually an envelope that holds a 3x3 inch notecard, both dies from Creative Times, makes up real fast and is super cute!!  Thanks for looking, have a great day.

Sorry have been away for so long.  Life happens and sometimes the computer has to come last.  This is the card I am making for Valentine's Day this year.  What do you think?  It is just under 6x6 inches, used Martha Stewart Punch Around the Page punches for the outside, Creative Times die for the open heart.  Then for the small doily I used a die from Cheery Lynn Designs (very intrict dies but they cut great.)  The die for the rose is from Creative Times.  I just started making paper flowers and you have to be ready to practice!!  The first 2-4 I made I was ready to give it up but this 5th one turned out wonderful and each one since has been great.  So if you are new at paper flowers watch some youtube videos and keep trying.  It is well worth it!!
Close up of my paper rose.  The leaves are a punch from Martha Stewart.  I started to put Stickles Glitter on it and accidently picked up Glossy Accents and love the 'dew' effect that it made.  One mistake I won't regret later.  Have a great day and will try to post more as I start my crafts for the New Year.
