Christmas Gift Card Holder

I saw a similar one of these gift card holders on:  http://paperboutique.blogspot.com/.  I used different images than Emma did but the idea is the same, thank you for the great idea!  Everything you need for this is made from Creative Time dies and stamp sets.  They include for this design:  Build a Banner Kit, Embossed Gift Card Holder Die, All Around Christmas stamp set, and Gift Card Sentiment stamp set.  It was simple, fast, and fun to make, it took me less than 1 hour to cut the dies, stamp, color, pop dot and put together.  The All Around Christmas stamp set has several other small stamps that you could use also.  This would be a good idea for those hard to buy for teens!  I am fairly new to embossing, it is still a little sloppy, but I will keep working at it.
Thank you for visiting, have a great day.  Candy

Gingerbread Christmas Cards

I think these would be great to give with a plate of Christmas cookies or candies.  They were really fun to make, I guess I have fun with everything!!

I used Lorie & Al Gingerbread Stamp set from Peachy Keen Stamps.  Stamped them out and colored the girl with colored pencils.  Used Copic and Creative Memories pens for the boy.  The saying die at the bottom is from Creative Times called Fancy Frame Stamp & Die Set.  The kitchen utensil background is made using the stamps from the Gingerbread Set.
My mom was here last week and we had the pleasure of attending the Portland Scrapbooking Expo at the Convention Center.  It was a blast!!  We had such a good time.  Picked up the new Stickles colors they are coming out with this fall, I think there was 8-10 of them, will be using them on upcoming cards.  And mom bought me the Sizzix die set for the pumpkins!! I cut her out a few while she was here but I all ready have my Halloween cards made for my 10 grandkids and my friends 8, so may have to wait until next year to use it for cards, will be able to use it on Halloween layouts in the scrapbooks until then.  I also found a product from the The Rubber Cafe called 'Puffies.' It may not be new but it is the first time I have ever used it.  I put a thin layer on the boy for the frosting and then used my heat gun over it and it puffs!!  Look close, you will see, it is amazing.  They have a display where it was used for frosting on a cupcake for a birthday card, it looks just like frosting!!  It can be ordered on-line from them, it comes in several colors too.  The punches are Martha Stewart punch around the page Holly and Snowflake.

Thanks for visiting, have a great day.  Candy

Birthday Cards with Banners

I love this set from Creative Times!!  I used the following dies and stamp sets:  Stitched Oval Die, XL Label Die, Curly Label Die, Build a Banner Kit Die and stamp set.  Anyday Bingo and Crossword stamp set, Gift Card Sentiments stamp set, and Whisical Calendar Days stamp set. If you look at both cards close up you can see the hatch marks on the card base, I used one of the stamps from Build a Banner Kit and randomly stamped on the card background with the main colors I used, yellow and purple.  I can't wait to make some more banners!! They are going to be so cute in scrapbooks, especially for those 10 grandkids.  I can just hear them in later years, "That must have been grandma's favoite set!" The calendar in the Whimsical Calendar Days is wonderful, so easy to cut with the Cuttlebug and stamps good every time.  I used the letters from Anyday Bingo & Crossword on the banner and the letters fit perfect.  The banners are stamped with the stamps from the banner kit.  I also got the September bonus set for being one of the first 100 orders on the day these sets came out.  I love it, used it on both of these cards but didn't take any pictures, she has it on the site for sale for I think it is $4.50, free shipping.
Thanks for visiting.  Have a great day! Candy

Flower cards made with Imagine

Flowers with crystal centers

 Flowers with Peachy Keen faces
I used 3 different techniques for the centers of these flowers.  I put crystals in the middle of the top ones, used Peachy Keen face stamps for the center ones and used small pompoms for the bottom ones.  I printed everything from the Imagine cartridge Blossom, this seems to be my favorite one!! I think I made a total of 15 of these cards, once I started cutting I just couldn't stop, it was so much fun!!  I have to find something to do with all of the cards I have made, now have about 130 cards total!!  Crafting nut, that is what my husband calls me.  I am loving the Imagine, it just makes crafting that much better.  Thanks for stopping by, enjoy!!

Flower Cards

These cards were made with embossing, no cricut for these!!  I used two cuttlebug folders and a Martha Stewart punch for the edges.  I love the polka dot ribbon on these.  I used chalk ink to color the embossed, it is fast to do and I love the effects.  Thanks for visiting.  Enjoy!!

Animal Train Card

This is a card I saw on the following link to Creative Time.  http://www.creativetimeforme.com/2010/12/my-favorite-top-10-cards-of-2010.html   I did a few things different from the original, added 2 giraffes a small and a large one.  The larger one I glued to the inside of the front of the card and the little one to the back of the card.  I cut another lion in white and glued to the inside of the card to be able to write on it.  Cartridges used:  Create a Critter and George and Basic Shapes.  The eyes on the lion are from Peachy Keen Stamps, the sentiment is from Pink by Design, both links are in the post below.  I cut the wheels using the circle on the Imagine, 1" and 0.75" and layered 4 together and then used Glossy Accents, put brads in middle and pop dots to attach them.  Thanks to Creative Time for the great idea.  Thanks for looking.  Have a great day!!

Balloon Tags and Cards

I saw one of these tags on another blogspot and just had to make some of my own!!  The bottom two pictures show cards and tags from the original design I saw and the top two are ones I designed with the same idea.  They were so fun to make I just kept cutting them out ad ended up with 10 tags and 3 cards.  The cartridges used are George and Basic Shapes, Once Upon a Princess and Tags, Bags, Boxes and More and Sesame Street - Elmo's Party.  The tag is 4.75 inches, the balloon were welded onto the sides of the tag before cutting, this was done on the Gypsy.  I used some pretty light cardstock for the balloons so I cut two layers and then pop dotted them onto the tags and cards.  On some of them I added brads to the little tag that has the message, this design is from the Imagine built in images and is cut at 1.3" in white and inked around the edges.  I added eyelets at the top for the ribbon to add strength so that the paper would not tear.  The stamps are from Pink by Design for 'Birthdays Rock' ALL GIRL packet, Creative Time for 'Happy Happy Birthday' and 'Wish Big,'  WOW! SO MANY CANDLES packet, the faces for the balloons are from Peachy Keen Stamps, I used several different packets for these (trying to collect all the stamp faces, they are SO CUTE and stamp out so nice).  The background is embossed with Cuttlebug 'Happy Birthday' folder using my Cuttlebug.  Thanks for looking!!

Got a little carried away, these were so fun that I just kept making them.  It is fun picking out the colors and the faces!

Aren't those faces FUN!!  I love Peachy Keen face stamps.

These are the first tags that I made after seeing the design on another blogspot, did a few things different than the original design.

These are some cards that I made using the same designs as the tags, just welded together two of the bases using the Gypsy.  You could make a tag and card to match, would be the hit of the party!!  Thanks for looking.

Buccaneer Birthday Cards

The cards were so fun to make.  I used the Buccaneer Imagine cartridge.  The backgrounds are from the same cartridge.  I like the small ships on the cards, I also added small images from the same cartridge on the insides of the cards.  All the buccaneers are pop dotted out and little bits of bling added here and there.  You can also use this idea for invitations to a pirate party, little boys would love it!
Thanks for looking. :)

SUMMER GIFT CARDS

Set of notecards, 3 inches square, with graphics from PC Crafter.  These make great little gift cards for summer presents or give the whole box of cards as a gift.

This is the inside of the box that I made for the notecards, used another graphic for the inside of the box. I made an envelope for each card, then embossed them.  They turned out so CUTE!!

In the middle of the picture is the front of the box, all together this is a nice little gift for a friend or co-worker.  Or make a set for yourself, I just haven't been able to give this set away or use it, it is too darn cute!
Thanks for looking. :)

Cow's It Going Card

I love this little card.  All the punches used are from Martha Stewart, around the flowerette (which I scored using MS score boared), the butterfly, and the top of the bottom layer of cardstock. The cow is a craft button, the back fits perfect into the flowerette. The stamp worked out perfect for this card, can't remember which set it is from.  The bling is Stickles.  Hope you enjoy looking, thanks for coming. :)

Cards made from KanBan Kit from HSN

These are cards I made on Saturday and finished blinging them today, used lots of pop dots on these, they were so fun to make I couldn't stop myself so made an even dozen.  All but one are just the card fronts, will put them on a card later when I send them out.  They are made from a kit from KanBan Crafts that I purchased from HSN.  I left some of the labels blank so that I could add sentiment when I get ready to give them to someone.  The butterfly is from a Martha Stewart punch.  The edge punches are also Martha Stewart.  The papers and punch-outs in this set are exceptional and the cardstock is nice and heavy.  I ordered another kit just like this and also the black and white set with the same designs.  I want to use my cricut and some of the girls from Forever Young to design some more cards.  KanBan also has a bird cardmaking kit that I ordered today so look for some more cards in the next month.  Hope you enjoy looking.

New Cards

This is a get well card made for my daughter who is recovering from knee surgery.  The images are from PC Crafter, I love the images from that site.  I have made a lot of cards with many of the images.

This is another owl card that I made for my parents.  Going out in the mail tomorrow, they are snow birding in Arizona this winter.

My sister is a nut over shoes and I love making her cards with them on it.  More images from PC Crafter.

Miss You card made on the Imagine for my BFF, Vickie, she moved to another town last year and I miss her terribly.

Frog card made for my youngest daughter, she like frogs.  The inside says "Wouldn't It Be Great If You Could Eat What Bugs You" and has another image of the frogs.  Images again from PC Crafter.
Thanks for looking, hope you enjoy!
Got some Spellbinder dies from JoAnn's this weekend, they had 4 sets sold as one set and I bought 3 of them, will try to get some things made from them as soon as I can find my C plate for my Cuttlebug!! Just can't figure out what I did with it!!  May have to buy a new one.  That's what I get for constantly reorganizing.

Imagine Birthday Card

This is a birthday card made for my granddaughter, Alexis.  She will be 11 years old in May, how fast they grow!!  Cartridges used for this card are Cricut Imagine Blossom and Cricut A Child's Year, designed everything but the background on the gypsy.  The background is cut using the Imagine preloaded scallop design cut at 6 inches, turns out to be 6" x 7" apx.  I tried designing this on the gypsy but no matter what I did it kept printing with a black border. The card was cut at 7 1/4" x 12 inches, scored in half and folded.  Edges of both were inked with pink.  The letters and the numbers for 11 were cut at 2".  The candle was cut at 3" and the balloon was cut at 4".  I inked the edges of everything with pink, blue, green or yellow.  The face on the balloon is from Peachy Keen Stamps PK-460 Happy Lashes Assortment, I used the 1" size.  Then mounted the ballon using Action Wobbles.  And the bling is Stickles Star Dust and Yellow.  Enjoy and thank you for visiting.

Cat Card

This is not my original design I saw it on another blogspot, I cannot remember where I saw it but will keep looking and post the blogspot when I find it (if anyone knows please let me know)  I just got hooked on making this little kitten card, as you can tell I made a few.  Before you could design and save projects for the Imagine I used to make several of each card, after all the time spent designing I felt making only one card was a waste of my time.  I love now that we can design and save on the Gypsy for the Imagine.  I made this little girl about 5 inches tall.

Owl cards

I had a day where I just could not quit making owls, just got hooked on them, everything is easy on the Imagine.  I must have made a dozen of them.  I then had to decide what to make with all of them, they were just so darn cute.  So I made a base of a  round scallop card on the gypsy, added a scallop layer and then a round circle made on the Imagine, added the owls with pop dots and then of course bling, I added 3 pearls to the bottom of each card which seemed to just finish them off.  Enjoy looking.

Elephant Card

Elephant card made using Animal Kingdom.  Used my Gypsy to weld the card base together.  Made the head a little lighter shade of purple, embossed the tusks, tail and feet with white embossing.  Then added bling with stickles and added a jewel on the head.  I love this card.

Wobbly head Easter cards

I used wobbly head stickers on these Easter cards, Imagine cartridges for the egg colors, cricut cartridge for the egg itself and Martha Stewart punch around the page.  The faces are stamps from Peachy Keen stamps, love these stamps!!
